Kavya Harshita Jidugu,
It is truly heartening to see our Telugu Pilla, along with the esteemed Chinniah, hosting this event. Congratulations on your remarkable pursuit of identity, and I deeply admire your passion and dedication in a foreign land. For a second though, without fully reading your last name, I thought you identity was with the famous Indian philosopher and intellectual Jiddu Krishnamurthy.
I am the individual who has become the focus of your opposition—a Brahmin by birth, hailing from Tamil Nadu but Telugu speaking. By that double-quirk powerful castes both in Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh have targeted me for direct persecution. Here in Canada however that baton has been taken over by a coalition of intellectuals, each armed with their own ‘valid reasons’ for their contention against me.
Inclusiveness seems to be a core principle embraced by your partners in this event at the University of Toronto – Mississauga, A value I deeply admire and hold in high regard. However, I find myself questioning why you have not sent invitations to the person who nourishes the motivation & sustenance of your academics / career? Or rather you prefer to debate about your adversary in their absence? Could this not challenge the very notion of inclusiveness that you uphold. Surely Dear Chinniah knows me on the CBC program a few years back.
Please say hello to the following on my behalf: Alayna Puli / Prem Pariyaar / Saranya Manoharan & Manjeet Sarkar, as I could not find their email id. Mending the chasm also does not have an email id. CCIM website was not working and could not find their email id. I had to super zoom their logo on your flyer to find out who this was. But I am glad you accommodated them inspite of space issues. And that phone number does not sound authentic!
If you possess the fortitude to engage with a Brahmin, feel free to respond. After all, how often do you encounter your shared adversary in person? I wish to affirm that I regard all of you as my blood—at heart, you are all Indians. While you may associate with influential individuals and enjoy patronage with Abrahamic faiths, it remains undeniable that you are quintessentially Hindu at your core—in thought, action, temperament and the warmth you exude.
Queens, Carleton, York & University of Toronto, hello, howdy!
Sincerely
Gopala Krishna
