Unprecedented things happened Nov 3rd and 4th in Canada targeting Hindus. In an otherwise peaceful Canada, specific group of repeat offenders escalated things by resorting to physical violence against un-suspecting Hindus who went for prayers at Hindu Sabha Mandir.

That seems to have caught everyone off guard, The temple administration, The Peel police and Hindu devotees who were subjected to physical violence. What was alarming was the perpetrators who carried Khalistanis flags did so right in the presence of handful of police officers who were armed with handheld firearms, the standard issue SIG Sauer P320 of PRP.The intensity of attacks violates Human rights. With the trauma of Kaniskha aircraft bombing still raw, this ferocity of attacks seemed to be an invitation for retribution.

Observing the actions of police at the Mandir when the attacks first started, it raised questions about PRP’s preparedness to handle situations & their ability to de-escalate things. The Hindu community feels that if PRP handled the early hours of situation efficiently, we would not have witnessed the subsequent series of events. It also raised suspicion that PRP was hand in glove with the attackers. For observers it gave an impression that both the attackers and the Police worked as Team to target Hindus.As things unfolded and when Hindus resorted to self-defense, the police turned in full riot gear, with buses in tow to arrest Hindus, while failing in the first place to protect Hindus. It has now threatened the trust that Hindus have hand on PRP.
